Flooding Advice and Assistance

Information about how protect your home against flooding can be found at https://bluepages.org.uk/and it is a property owner's responsibility to protect their property from a flood risk.
If a property owner feels their property is at risk of flooding, the council will encourage the resident to consider ways to protect the property other than sandbags.
However, if you feel that you need sandbags, SDC also has a list of builders merchants which can provide a maximum of 12 empty sandbags from SDC stock free-of-charge at Flooding help - how to protect your home although most charge for sand. Please be aware of opening and closing times.
Stroud District Council can provide a maximum of 12 empty sandbags, free-of-charge, during normal office hours at our Ebley Mill offices and Littlecombe, Dursley depot. Homeowners will need to provide their own sand.
